Register for a Library Card

A library card will allow a patron to borrow materials from the library, access the databases, and use the computers.
To get a library card, a patron must live within or own property within the Northville Central School District. A form of I.D. (specifically a driver's license) will be needed. A patron must provide their physical and mailing addresses, telephone, and date of birth.
Patrons from outside of the library's chartered-to-serve area will need to provide a tax bill that shows their property assessment. A rate will be applied and patrons will be charged for a library card. The fee is good for every household member and runs from July 1 through June 30.

MVLS Joint Automation Project

Through the library's automated circulation system, all materials are checked in and out, renewals are processed, and a borrowing record for every member is maintained. Overdue book fines are computed and reported and membership information for all library members is stored in a database for use by the director and staff.
The Northville Public Library is a member of the Mohawk Valley Library System (MVLS). A computer terminal provides access to the catalog of our library and a broader search can be made to include the catalogs of all MVLS member libraries as well as the member libraries of the Southern Adirondack Library System (SALS).
The Public Access Catalog of materials in the library now has the capability to accept your reviews of books. Just click on "reviews" under the photo of the book jacket cover, and then click "add a review". All reviews from across the country can be read.
